The joy and hope of Easter are not reserved for that day alone, but are the foundations for the immeasurable grace that sustains us in every day of our lives.
These pain points are a gift. They are glorious. They are hard. They hurt. And they are worth it.
How do we bring this incredible, sovereign, holy God down to the level of a three-year old?
Cling to Christ in the chaos. Share his gospel with your littles. Worship him when it feels like you’re failing. These messy moments can glorify God if we keep our sights on him and point others his way.
Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?

It is tempting to begrudge the mundaneness we walk through. But remember that God chose an incredibly mundane backdrop to reveal his glorious, wondrous, plan.
Enjoy those matching pj sets. Cozy up with hot chocolate and the latest wonderfully cheesy Hallmark movie. Sing the carols, look at the lights, give gifts - but my challenge to you this Advent season is pause daily (yes DAILY!) and return your sights to the heart of this holiday.
The gospel is glorious. Take some time this week and forever (but seriously) to reflect on these passages. Let the truth of His word drive you to worship.
