To all my young mama friends out there, stay the course. Look at how faithfully God has loved you in all of your mess and reflect that love to your beautiful little tantrum monsters.

This love does not stop at the manger. We are called to carry it to this broken world in every season and in every moment. Let us proclaim the glorious news of our Savior!
The manger heralded the arrival of God’s love on earth, a love that none could comprehend.
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16
I am certain these uncertain days will become a distant memory as we begin our eternity in glorious presence of our King.
In a world where a thousand fears and worries clamor for our heart’s attention, consider Jesus. Set your minds and hearts on him.
“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
The peace with God that we were given so long ago is worth celebrating! But we would be wise to not let the busyness our celebrating can create overshadow the gift we’ve been given.

May God refresh your hearts today with the unshakable, never failing, eternal hope he gifted us with the birth of his Son.
Don’t miss the wonder in these songs this season. Let them turn your heart towards the manger that held the Savior of the world. Let them spur you on to worship our glorious King.
In this season of expectation, let your excitement grow as wildly as it can. Look back at the majesty at the manger and look towards the glorious future we’ve been promised. What hope the believer has been given!
Sleep deprivation, tantrums, fussiness, discipline - the hope we find in the gospel is sufficient for it all.
In all our sorrows and suffering, we can find ultimate comfort through Christ. God meets us in our deepest need and provides a safe refuge we can run to, strong enough to withstand the rage of our life’s storms.
It is tempting to begrudge the mundaneness we walk through. But remember that God chose an incredibly mundane backdrop to reveal his glorious, wondrous, plan.
Enjoy those matching pj sets. Cozy up with hot chocolate and the latest wonderfully cheesy Hallmark movie. Sing the carols, look at the lights, give gifts - but my challenge to you this Advent season is pause daily (yes DAILY!) and return your sights to the heart of this holiday.
The gospel is glorious. Take some time this week and forever (but seriously) to reflect on these passages. Let the truth of His word drive you to worship.
No matter what your day to day looks like, remind yourself of the grace of God. He has met our rebellion with rescue and sustains us in every thing we walk through.
It isn’t pretty. It isn’t perfect. But it is completely worthwhile.
